Somatics is a practice of embodied change and healing. Somatic coaching is a transformative and relational process where we work together and through our bodies to reconnect and integrate the innate wisdom and fullness of our bodies. We do this through both conversation and practices to support bringing more aliveness and power to shaping your life and the world around you in alignment with your vision and values. In this coaching relationship, transformation would making choices in alignment with those values more consistently, even under the same old pressures of daily life. In other words, somatics supports us in discovering our whole integrated selves, our aliveness and embodying a generative life that embodies our values. As a politicized healer, I believe we are shaped significantly by our experiences and the interdependence of all of our individual and collective liberation. As a result, our work together will address the impact of current and past social conditions.

In a somatic coaching relationship we would start by getting clear around your longings and goals for our work together, what you are wanting to move towards and whats in the way. In our regular, usually weekly sessions, together we would use this initial content plus whatever you are moving through that week to embark on some embodied practices that support awareness and embodiment and then reflect on these practices for insights and how you might integrate the wisdom your body offered you into your life.

Logistics

I offer both in person and telehealth coaching, but prefer in person. Particularly with somatic coaching, while all of the practices are available to both mediums I have found in person offers additional somatic information for us both as coach and client. In addition as both a coach and a client, I have found in person to offer a deeper container for both the relationship and being able to have more of a transition to and from the other parts of our lives. My office is in Generative Healing Arts Collective and is a of a cozy little home in Georgetown neighborhood of Seattle shared with other values aligned practitioners.

Fee

Cost for a somatic coaching session is $180 and is not billable to insurance. There are limited sliding scale spots available. These spots are prioritized for folks who do not hold US citizenship privileges, are members of the global majority and/or are trans.
